Professionally certified through top mountain bike industry programs, Ride Guide instructors combine a deep love of MTB with incredibly resilient and adaptable teaching skills.
Brent and Malia founded Ride Guide together and now live in Tucson, AZ. Read about them below.
Brent Burcham, Owner
Brent has been riding mountain bikes since 2005 and competing in cross-country races for many years. He raced professional cross-country mountain biking from 2015 until 2018, when he withdrew due to an injured knee. He realized it was time to have some fun and pass on his knowledge and talents to benefit other riders, so he founded Ride Guide!
You will see Brent operating many jobs at Ride Guide. He's always on the job, whether it's instructing and assisting a session or working on the back end organizing events.
Malia Burcham, Managing Director
Malia is a born and raised Alaskan who loves to play outside in all seasons and conditions. She began riding mountain bikes shortly after meeting Brent in 2015. She became captivated with the MTB lifestyle and worked tirelessly to improve her skills so she could keep up with the MTB racers in her new family. She loves sharing her knowledge and experience to assist others in their development!
At Ride Guide, she wears numerous hats. She manages event planning, web development, social media accounts, and marketing in addition to being a skills instructor.
